One week from today all of Redskins Nation, Washingtonians and Americans alike will join together to kick back, eat some barbecue and enjoy annual Fourth of July fireworks shows that only the United States of America can execute.

Now as anyone that lives in the DMV can attest to, the weather around here is fickle—very fickle.

At current check, the forecast for America’s birthday is calling for mid 80’s and a 40 percent chance for thunderstorms.

For Washington Redskins running back Tristan Davis, he has an interesting take on the chances our Nation’s Capital will have a rainy holiday—and any other summer day around here for that matter.

No truer words have even been said.

While Davis and the rest of the area hope that the skies are clear a week from today, kicker Kai Forbath’s summer getaway is far from thunderstorms and uncomfortable humidity.

As he enters his third year with the Washington Redskins, Davis knows how the weather works around here. You just guess it’s going to be boiling hot and sunny one day and then rainy and mild the next.

For former University of Nebraska linebacker Will Compton, though, he has no idea what he’s in for.

Solution? Hit the pool.

I’m sure everyone wishes they could join you right about now, Will.

Safe travels if you’re traveling over the next few weeks and for those of you who are planning to commute to training camp in Richmond, there are only 28 more days.

Hail to the Redskins!
